The story so far

Xanadu's mission is to build quantum computers that are useful and available to people everywhere. OMERS Ventures led investments in Xanadu at both the Seed and Series A rounds.

Xanadu was founded in 2016, with a mission of using photons, or particles of light, to perform exceptionally fast and complex computations at room temperature. Quantum computing has the potential to solve problems that we’ve previously only dreamed of solving.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Christian Weedbrook

Christian Weedbrook is the co-founder and CEO of Xanadu. Christian has over a decade of industry, government and research experience in quantum computing and quantum cryptography. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Queensland and was a postdoc at MIT and the University of Toronto.
